Spare a thought

When the lockdown began in March, it was something of an unknown quantity. We thought it might last weeks or months, and many businesses closed for the duration. When the lockdown eased, it was clear that some businesses had gone forever. It’s hard to survive if you have no customers.

Charities were hit too, as well as cinemas, theatres, museums and so on. Even though I am only a poor pensioner, I decided I would help out a couple of places near to me that I am particularly fond of, a small theatre and a concert hall/charity. My small sums won’t make a lot of difference, but any little helps.

I appreciate times are hard, and it’s not looking good for the future, but, wherever you are in the world, if you can, try and support someone with even a small payment. Believe me, they will appreciate it!

And thank you from me for even thinking about it.
