Scams

There’s not just the jolly shopkeepers charging £50 for a small bottle of sanitiser, or £5 per facemask. Or the fake masks and sanitiser.

The 5G brigade, saying that 5G towers cause or spread the virus, as discussed by Eamon Holmes and others, are totally discredited but still come up on tv regularly. People are reported selling USB keys for over £300, claiming they protect from the virus.

Some have turned on Bill Gates. There are claims he invented the virus. Others claim that a covid vaccine is simply an excuse to electronically tag people against their will.

The latest is the new track and trace system. Whether or not it actually works is beside the point. If you have been near someone with the virus, you will be contacted and told to isolate for a period of time. But anyone can ring you up, scare you silly by saying you have the virus and then who knows…

I hope the government will introduce steps to prevent this being used for fraudulent purposes.
