There is something that annoys me.

This is a router:

It is a woodworking tool. The name is supposed to rhyme with ‘sprout’, the ‘out’ bit being pronounced as if you were not in.

This is a router:

It’s a device used on networks in computing. It is pronounced to rhyme with ‘boot’.
